Tarpon Springs offers many excellent schools that promote a well-rounded education. School begins in late August and ends in early June. From Pre-k to college, the area schools are some of the best in the county. There are three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and one college. Each of the schools is located within family neighborhoods and in many cases will be within walking distance. In a close-knit community surrounded by beaches, parks and friendly people, children will grow and flourish in Tarpon Springs.

Tarpon Springs High School offers 4x4 block scheduling which allows students to choose from a wide variety of academic and elective courses. A welltrained staff provides special opportunities, not found elsewhere in one school.

These include a Veterinary Science Academy and a Culinary Arts Academy, both in their own state-ofthe-art, stand alone buildings. The Music Leadership Conservatory is one of the best in the nation, with our students playing venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center, plus winning national awards every year. As well, Tarpon Springs High School has just been awarded one of the two High School Leadership Conservatory for the Arts programs in the County.

Students who need assistance in reaching grade level goals, can participate in Booster Math or Read 180 programs. Those seeking academic challenges may enroll in honors or advanced placement classes or dual enrollment classes through St. Petersburg College.
