Committees


Ambassador

Works closely with the Chamber's Marketing Director to encourage business owners to join the Chamber of Commerce and participate in various events as sponsors. The Chairman overseas the Ambassador program to encourage members to attend chamber events such as Coffee with Class, Mixers, Luncheons and other events. Ambassadors:

  • introduce new people at events
  • act as greeters
  • deliver new partner and renewal packages
  • generally help present the Chamber of Commerce to business owners and managers

Bay Area Young Professionals

Ages from 21 - 40. consists of Partners from Tarpon Springs, Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Safety Harbor & Oldsmar Chambers of Commerce. It hosts a social the 4th Tuesday of each month, rotating among the cities. The group also holds fundraisers for charities such as All Children's Hospital.

Education

Honors exemplary students in each of our schools. Involved in hosting quarterly luncheons with schools, principals, teachers, students and families, to honor these students.

Fine Arts Festival

Responsible for the Annual Fine Arts Festival, one of the most prestigious Fine Arts Festivals in Florida. The Committee is comprised of citizens in the community who want to help promote the Chamber of Commerce and are dedicated to this event. The core of the Committee has been together for 20+ years, making it a smoothly-run organization.

Special Events

Oversees all of the other fund raisers such as the Golf Tournament, Photo Scavenger Hunt and any other fundraisers that will benefit the Chamber of Commerce.

Tourism Development

This is an ongoing Committee designed to promote Tarpon Springs throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond. Business owners and managers in the tourism business meet every Thursday morning at 9:00 at the Chamber of Commerce to plan events, give out information on their events and work however possible to bring more business to the City.
