Get Involved!
The Chamber of Commerce is looking for a few AMAZING people to get involved with our committees. You can be a huge part of this growing Chamber, and get the inside scoop on what we do, how we do it, and get some great exposure for your business. Find a committee that would be a fit, and let your fun and creativity come to light! If you are interested in being on any of these committees, please call the Chamber office at 727-937-6109 or email president@tarponspringschamber.org.
Ambassadors
You are the welcoming wagon, meeter and greeter for our new Members, and the fun bunch! You will be attending events— breakfasts, luncheons, ribbon cuttings, happy hours—whatever your schedule allows. You will encourage businesses to become a Member. Plus, we will be doing visits with our Members to say ‘thanks’ for their continued support. If you want to promote the Chamber and be the first contact for a new business, then this is the one for you. Lunch meetings are monthly rotating in our local restaurants. Membership in this Club is by application to the committee. Eligible after 1 year of Chamber membership.
Fine Arts Festival Committee
You will be working on helping with coordinating the largest, most prestigious event for the Chamber, held once a year. This is a 6 - month commitment, with plans starting in July through March. The Fine Arts Festival is the largest fundraiser for the Chamber and has been produced for 50 years. It’s a hardworking committee who have a lot of fun! Meetings called as needed by the Chairman of the Committee.
Bay Area Young Professionals Group
If you are 21-40 years, or have an employee in this age category, then you might want to consider signing up. This is a multi-Chamber Committee with membership shared with Palm Harbor, Dunedin, Upper Tampa Bay, and Safety Harbor. Young Professionals get together monthly to promote mentoring, networking, and growth in our younger community members. If you own a business, or you work for a Chamber member, this is a great opportunity to elevate your professional goals. All events are created by the Group for young professionals. Board meetings are called as needed by the Chairman of BAYP.
